Day 2: Rabat - Chefchaouen

After breakfast at your lodging, you will travel through Errachidia on your way to Merzouga for your Morocco trip. With expansive views of the High Atlas plateau, you will pass across the breathtaking Tizi Ntalghamt pass and Ziz Gorge. The scenery gradually changes as you get closer to Errachidia, where you may savor a traditional Berber meal and feel the warmth of the locals. After that, proceed through the stunning Ziz Valley, pausing for picturesque vistas on your way to Erfoud and Rissani. When you reach Merzouga in the afternoon, you’ll be greeted with mint tea before riding a camel to your camp in the desert. Enjoy sandboarding and Berber music while spending the night outside at “ Dihya Desert Camp ” (or something similar).
Day 8: Explore Merzouga tours
Your Morocco tour allows you to explore the landscape after breakfast at the camp. See the special music and culture of the Gnawa people before visiting Merzouga Lake (if it’s not dry) to observe the local wildlife. On Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, you may also go to the lively souk in Rissani, a historic town that used to be home to caravan traders from as far away as Timbuktu. After that, head back to Merzouga to relax before riding a camel across the breathtaking sand dunes. Stay overnight at Dihya Desert Camp (or something comparable), where you can eat a delicious meal in a cozy, well-equipped atmosphere.
